We often think that gluten-free foods must be healthy, but the truth is, processed gluten-free products tend to have a lot of excess salt and sugar added to them. If you love snacking but want to cut down on your salt and sugar intake, try out these healthy gluten-free snacks.

Fresh Cucumber Sandwich

This is a neat trick that you can get really creative with. Simply cut the cucumber into sidelong slices and pack with your favorite filling. Chicken, pepper, avocado, and tomato are a nice combo.

Honey Granola Bars

Buy a big bag of granola from the supermarket. This will come in handy on many occasions if you’re eating a gluten-free diet. Mix the granola with honey, oat flour, brown sugar, and coconut oil, and place the mix onto a baking tray. Bake for 10-15 minutes and then leave to set.

Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Cakes

Simply take one or two cupfuls of oats and mix them with a dollop of peanut butter. The oats will stick together, and you can eat them with your hands.
