How to make your kids love cabbage

Kids are always developing their taste in the growing phase of their life. This means that the road to healthy eating is not that straight for parents. Out of a long list of eatables kids don’t like, green veggies are most unloved ones. These include spinach, lettuce, cabbage and many other nutritional food items. In an effort to solve the issue, we are highlighting cabbage recipe that might make your kids love the vegetable.

To prepare cabbage in a kid friendly avatar, you can prepare cabbage poriyal which is famous among little ones. To prepare it, heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds onto it. After this add onion pieces, ginger and curry patta and bring the mixture to sauté. Add in cabbage and carrot and stir on high heat for couple of minutes. Add salt to taste.

You need to cook in a way so as to make cabbage crisp instead of making it a mush. After heating, turn off the gas and then sprinkle pieces of coconut over the poriyal for extra garnishing. Serve!

One can also use other ingredients like spliced capsicum or corns for garnishing.
