Bacon is one of those foods that has to be eaten as crisp as possible. And just as there are several ways to skin a cat or fry an egg, there are various methods to give your bacon that extra crunch factor. Which will be your go-to?

Frying Pan

We know, you’ve probably been cooking your rashers this way all along, but there are some tricks to ensure that delicious crisp. Cook the bacon over medium heat as opposed to high—this allows more fat to render, resulting in a strip that you can crunch your teeth into.

Oven

Cooking bacon in the oven is an excellent method if you have to make a lot at one time. Use a baking sheet pan with a rim of at least half an inch on all sides so none of that fat goes to waste. Cover the sheet with parchment paper, place the slices in a row, and pop them in a 400°F oven for 15 minutes.

Air Fryer

The name alone suggests that this bacon will be crispy! Heat up the air fryer to 400°F and place the rashers in an even layer. Thick slices should be given 10 minutes to cook, while thinner ones can go for 7-8 minutes.
