End Your Summer with This Zesty Lemon Tart

A top-quality zesty lemon tart is the ideal summer dessert. It is refreshing on a hot summer’s day and is the perfect accompaniment to a fiery sunset on the beach. Here’s what you need to know to make your own.

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 170 grams of sugar
  • lemon juice from about 3 lemons
  • lemon zest
  • 200 milliliter double cream
  • squirty cream
  • pastry

Instructions:

  1. Break the eggs into a bowl with the sugar and mix until combined.
  2. Whisk in the lemon juice and the double cream while sprinkling on the lemon zest.
  3. When it is all combined and infused with zesty flavor, leave to chill.
  4. Pop the pastry in the oven and bake on 375 F for 10-15 minutes. You know when its ready as the pastry will go crisp.
  5. When the pastry is crisped up, pour in the zesty filling mixture. Try to make it evenly distributed around the tart.
  6. Pop it back in the oven and bake for a further 30 minutes.
  7. Take the tart out to cool when the lemon filling has gone firm. Squirt some cream on top and enjoy!
