Peeling potatoes is one of the most disliked kitchen activities for many people. Even if you use some gadgets and peelers, chances are that you’ll spend a lot more time peeling potatoes than you’d like. But what if we told you that there is a way to speed up the process?
In one of their videos on YouTube, the channel Foody Tube demonstrated a simple yet efficient trick that will blow your mind and change your peeling routine forever. Best of all, you barely have to use a knife.
Simple and Quick Peeling
The trick is simple as it gets. Before you start cooking the potatoes, take a knife and make an incision around each potato. Make sure that you only cut the skin of the potatoes and don’t go deep into the flesh. Then boil the potatoes as you would usually do.
After the potatoes are boiled, let them cool off or run them through cold water. After they’re chilled, just take the potatoes on both ends with your fingers and gently pull. The potato skin will slide right off.
