Veganism is one of the most trendy things in the world right now. It used to be quite a niche thing, but now it’s more common than ever, which has led to the emergence of countless vegan restaurants. Indeed, vegan hotspots are so commercial and prevalent in this day and age that they’ve really upped their game—to the point where we believe you don’t even have to be vegan to enjoy vegan restaurants.

At the risk of sounding ignorant, we’d like to add a disclaimer. It’s quite common for non-vegans to lambast vegan food and call it gross, which is why we feel it’s important to note that non-vegans might be missing out on something.

The truth is that people who eat meat will often compare vegan food to meat, adding to their dissatisfaction when they try eating vegan food. But if you’re not vegan and you have yet to fall in love with certain vegan delicacies, consider treating it as its own thing, instead of a varied take on the meat itself.

If you come at it with that approach, you may learn that vegan food is unique in its own way—and in most cases downright delicious.
