Zucchini is one of the most versatile veggies on the market and filled zucchini boats are one of the most popular ways to eat them. If you’ve never given this recipe a try before, follow these useful tips to make them better.

Boiling the Zucchini

Some recipes suggest you should boil your zucchini for two to three minutes before stuffing them. By doing so, you’re making sure they’re tenderer, and it helps with taking out the zucchini flesh, but it’s not necessary if your zucchinis are small.

Keep the Flesh

You shouldn’t throw away the scooped zucchini flesh you removed from the middle. Instead of letting it go to waste, use it as one of the ingredients for your filling.

Pre-Cook the Ingredients

You can get as creative as you want with your ingredients, but don’t expect them to properly bake in the oven with your zucchinis. If you’re using ingredients that generally require cooking, make sure to sauté them for a couple of minutes before using them for filling.
