Classic sugar cookies get a fun makeover with this veganized recipe by Foodie Yuki. It begins with instructions for a simple vanilla cookie dough, which is then divided into 3 equal parts. Cocoa powder and dried strawberry chips are then incorporated into separate parts before all of the colored doughs are assembled into one cookie. Why limit yourself to one flavor when you can have three?

]]>If you are looking for healthier sandwich variations, strawberries are just the thing you need. They can be used as a standalone ingredient between two pieces of bread or as a substitute for jelly in PB&J sandwiches. Either way, you’ll get a delicious snack out of it.
It’s a common misconception that strawberries only work in fruit salads. They are also a great addition to a veggie salad, providing a sweet kick to cucumbers, radishes, and onions. And don’t get us started on that strawberries-vinegar mix.
Ice cubes are great for chilling your drink fast, but they will also water it down quickly. To prevent this from happening, use frozen strawberries instead. Just clean the strawberries and put them in the freezer for several hours. After they’re iced, use them whenever you want to enjoy a cold drink without having to worry about spoiling the taste. As a bonus, there will be a cold strawberry waiting for you to eat after you finish the drink.
Dehydrating strawberry bits will give you a perfect low-calorie snack that you’ll love to have around. In case you don’t have a dehydrator, you can always thinly slice the strawberries and leave them in an oven at a low temperature for two hours.
If you really want to take your strawberry game to the next level, then stuffing them is a way to go. Just make small holes in your strawberries and then fill them with ice cream, whipped cream, cheesecake mix, or Nutella. You’ll thank us later.

]]>One of my favorite fruit smoothie combinations involves bananas and strawberries, two fruits whose tastes blend perfectly together. Here’s how to make a strawberry banana smoothie at home with only four ingredients!
Start off by cutting your banana and strawberries into small to medium-sized pieces so that they can be chopped up by your blender. Once you’ve done that, add them to the blender.
Next, pour 250 milliliters of milk and 1 teaspoon of honey into the blender. The honey will give your smoothie the exact quantity of sweetness that you’ll need in order to satisfy your sweet tooth!
Blend on medium speed, or until the bananas and strawberries have been fully chopped up and blended into the liquid part of the smoothie.
Chill for 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator, and enjoy!

]]>So, how can you ensure that strawberries are ripe, fresh, and good for eating? Follow these instructions, and you won’t be met with this disappointment.
Strawberries should not be partially green (meaning that they aren’t ripe) or a dull red (meaning that they’re on the edge of spoiling). Look for bright red strawberries that look to be completely healthy and fresh when buying this fruit.
One major clue of strawberries that are near the end of their useful life is a brown or yellow leaf. These leaves at the top of the berry should appear to be fresh, green, and healthy, meaning that the strawberry isn’t close to going bad.
Here’s an important tip that everyone should follow when buying strawberries: look at the bottoms of the fruit! Often, strawberries look nice and red on top, but are concealing mold or fungus on the bottom of them where they’ve gotten wet. Be sure to look all over the berry for mold before buying.

These effects are due to the lavender oil’s antimicrobial properties, which help your skin recover faster.
Rich in Vitamin C and tannins, which soothe and reduce the scars on the skin, strawberries are a great option and also a bit unusual solution for sunburns. Just mash up a few ripened strawberries and apply them to the sunburn.
