Preparing quick fish cakes

Quick recipes can save the day when your stomach reaches the summit of appetite and body is just not ready to cook a big meal. Today, we have a look at one of the most popular recipes of quick fish cakes.

Ingredients:

  • Skinless cod or Pollock fillets- 500g
  • Plain flour- 4 tbsp
  • Maris piper- 250g
  • Mayonnaise – 200ml
  • Olive oil
  • Mixed fresh herbs like chifree-rangel-2 tbsp

Method:

    • Chop the fish
    • Peel and grate the potato
    • Combine fish and potato with flour and then season with sea salt and black pepper in a bowl
    • Make 12 flat patties from the mixture and then place in fridge to cooling
    • Heat oil in a pan and start cooking the fish cakes in batches of 4. Cook for couple of minutes until crisp and golden cakes are obtained.
    • Remove and drain with paper.
    • Add chopped herbs with mayo and garnish properly.
    • Serve the cakes
