Peanut Butter and Jilly Beans is Putting Funfetti Donuts on the Map

Donuts are one of the most fun sweet treats on the market, and food blogger Jillian Glenn came up with a way to make them even more amazing. Her funfetti donuts are filled with colorful sprinkles that make it look like they’ve been decorated with confetti.

Glenn shared this fun recipe on her food blog Peanut Butter and Jilly Beans, and it will make you see donuts in a whole new light. To make the whole thing even better, these donuts are also 100% vegan if you end up using the ingredients from the original recipe.

Ingredients:

Vegan Donuts:

  • 1 ¼ cups almond milk
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup melted vegan butter
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp colorful sprinkles

Donut Glaze:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp melted vegan butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp almond milk

Instructions:

  1. While preheating the oven to 350 F, pour almond milk, sugar, melted vegan butter, baking soda, baking powder, and vanilla inside a large bowl and mix them together.
  2. Add flour and mix until combined, before folding in the sprinkles.
  3. Divide the batter into 12-14 donut molds, and bake the donuts for approximately 25 minutes.
  4. Whisk powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and almond milk together while waiting for the donuts to bake. Glaze the donuts once they’re done baking and eat them while warm and fresh.
