If you’re after easy homemade crackers, this is the recipe for you!
Ingredients
- 1 cup of oats
- 3/4 cup of pumpkin seeds
- 1/3 cup of sunflower seeds
- 1/3 cup of sesame seeds, black or white or both
- 3 tablespoons of chia seeds
- 3 tablespoons of poppy seeds
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon+1 teaspoon of vegetable or coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon of maple syrup or honey
Recipe
- In a large bowl, mix together the oats, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, chia seeds, poppy seeds, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix in the oil, maple syrup, and water together until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients over the dry mixture and mix it so everything is covered. Let the mixture to sit for 10 minutes.
- Then, line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Form the mixture into a ball, put it onto the baking sheet, and use another piece of parchment paper or wax paper and put it on top of the ball. Use another baking sheet or a rolling pin to make the mixture into a thin layer.
- Bake at 375 F for 15-20 minutes or until it starts to get golden brown. Then, take it out flip it over with two spatulas, and bake it on the other side for another 15- 20 minutes.
- Allow it to cool on the sheet and then break it up with a knife or your hands and enjoy for up to a week!
