Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken or beef broth
  • 1 ½ cups chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups elbow macaroni or pasta of your choice
  • 1 can or jar of tomato sauce
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 pound ground beef

Instructions:

  1. In a large pot, heat oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onion and ground beef, and break up meat as it cooks until it is no longer pink.

  5. Reduce heat to medium-low for 5 minutes.
  6. Add macaroni and cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until al dente.

  • 6 pieces of fresh skinless and boneless salmon fillets or white fish
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • Several spicy peppers of choice (either jalapeño or chili peppers)
  • 2 tablespoons of smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoons of cumin
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 2 lemons
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley
  • 1 can of green pitted olives or chickpeas
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Half a cup of water

Instructions:

  1. Start by heating your oil in a non-stick pan and layer your peppers, garlic, and tomato and cook down until soft
  2. Prepare your fillets by layering them in the paprika, oil, cumin, and juice of one lemon
  3. Put the fish in the pan and layer slices of lemon around it
  4. Douse the fish with cilantro or parsley
  5. Add the chickpeas or olives
  6. Pour half a cup of water into the pan and make sure the sides are wet
  7. Cover the pan and let cook on medium-low heat until the fillets are fully cooked

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of thinly sliced chicken breast
  • Equal parts honey and Dijon mustard (make sure the breasts are fully coated in it)
  • 1 tablespoon of Jerusalem spice blend (if you don’t have this, combine equal parts cumin, coriander, allspice, garlic, and paprika)
  • 1 teaspoon of Zaa’tar
  • 1 Pack of Matza Meal
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups of canola or vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Combine your spices with honey and the mustard, and fully coat the chicken in it.
  2. Once coated, dip in matza meal until fully coated.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan and wait for it to sizzle.
  4. Cook chicken in the oil on high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Avoid moving the chicken around too much in the pot, this will make the matza meal fall off.

Ingredients:
  • 6 pieces of fresh skinless and boneless salmon fillets or white fish
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • Several spicy peppers of choice (either jalapeño or chili peppers)
  • 2 tablespoons of smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoons of cumin
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 2 lemons
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley
  • 1 can of green pitted olives or chickpeas
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Half a cup of water

Instructions:

  1. Start by heating your oil in a non-stick pan and layer your peppers, garlic, and tomato and cook down until soft
  2. Prepare your fillets by layering them in the paprika, oil, cumin, and juice of one lemon
  3. Put the fish in the pan and layer slices of lemon around it
  4. Douse the fish with cilantro or parsley
  5. Add the chickpeas or olives
  6. Pour half a cup of water into the pan and make sure the sides are wet
  7. Cover the pan and let cook on medium-low heat until the fillets are fully cooked
  8. Garnish with more fresh herbs and serve with a side of couscous or bread to soak up the sauce!

Schnitzel is a savory, delicious, and greasy-fired chicken staple in Germany and certain Middle Eastern countries. There are many excellent ways to make it, but this one will definitely be a crowd-pleaser. Keep reading for a classic Honey Mustard Schnitzel with a twist.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound of thinly sliced chicken breast
  • Equal parts honey and Dijon mustard (make sure the breasts are fully coated in it)
  • 1 tablespoon of Jerusalem spice blend (if you don’t have this, combine equal parts cumin, coriander, allspice, garlic, and paprika)
  • 1 teaspoon of Zaa’tar
  • 1 Pack of Matza Meal
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups of canola or vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Combine your spices with honey and the mustard, and fully coat the chicken in it.
  2. Once coated, dip in matza meal until fully coated.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan and wait for it to sizzle.
  4. Cook chicken in the oil on high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Avoid moving the chicken around too much in the pot, this will make the matza meal fall off.
  6. Place chicken on a plate with a paper towel to soak up the oil, and let it cool.
  7. Serve with a side of rice or garlic mashed potatoes and enjoy!
