Ingredients:
- 1 pound of thinly sliced chicken breast
- Equal parts honey and Dijon mustard (make sure the breasts are fully coated in it)
- 1 tablespoon of Jerusalem spice blend (if you don’t have this, combine equal parts cumin, coriander, allspice, garlic, and paprika)
- 1 teaspoon of Zaa’tar
- 1 Pack of Matza Meal
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups of canola or vegetable oil
Instructions:
- Combine your spices with honey and the mustard, and fully coat the chicken in it.
- Once coated, dip in matza meal until fully coated.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and wait for it to sizzle.
- Cook chicken in the oil on high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Avoid moving the chicken around too much in the pot, this will make the matza meal fall off.
- Place chicken on a plate with a paper towel to soak up the oil, and let it cool.
- Serve with a side of rice or garlic mashed potatoes and enjoy!
