Frozen burgers often get a bad rep, but there is no denying they are a great option for times when we are craving a burger but don’t feel like doing everything from scratch. On top of that, they can turn out great even if you don’t fire up the grill and use one of the following methods.

Skillet

Skillet is the best method of cooking frozen burgers after grilling, although you can alternatively use a frying pan. Simply preheat the skillet to medium heat and then add cooking oil. Place a frozen burger patty, which you previously seasoned with salt and pepper, on a skillet and cook for six to eight minutes per side.

Oven

The oven is a great method for cooking frozen burgers, especially if you need to cook a large number at once. Season the frozen burger patties and line them on a baking sheet before placing them in a preheated oven at 425F. Let them bake for 10 to 12 minutes before flipping them over and baking them for another 10 to 12 minutes. If you’re making cheeseburgers, you can place the cheese slices on top of the patties and let them spend an extra minute in the oven so the cheese melts.

Air Fryer

The air fryer does a surprisingly good job when it comes to cooking frozen burgers. Simply preheat the air fryer to 350F and place seasoned frozen burger patties in the basket. Cook for around 20 minutes, flipping the patties halfway through.

Pasta salads are truly the best of both worlds, and they do a great job mixing two delicious dishes into one. If you’re looking for a way to level up this delicious dish, we’re here with a few tips and tricks that can help you take your pasta salads to the next level.

Right Pasta Shape

Not all pasta shapes are created equal, and short pasta shapes are generally the best option for pasta salad. Fusilli, gnocchi, farfalle, and penne are among the most popular varieties because they’re much better at trapping sauces and dressings than longer varieties.

Cooking Tips

When cooking your pasta, remember to salt the water, especially since pasta salad is usually eaten cold. It’s also important to cook it for long enough because it may feel tough after spending some time in the fridge to cool down.

Right Ingredients

Options are pretty much endless when it comes to picking ingredients for your pasta salad, and it all comes down to your personal taste. Cheese, fresh herbs, and veggies are always a good idea, especially juicy veggies that can deliver a lot of moisture, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and peppers.

Double Dressing

Most people dress their pasta salad once it’s cold, but you don’t have to wait. Dress it once while it’s still warm to let it absorb the sauce before giving it another coat of dressing once you’re ready to serve it.

2025 is finally here, and if you’re in the mood to embrace a healthier lifestyle this year, you should probably kick things off with your diet. Embracing healthy eating habits doesn’t come easy, but we’re here with some resolutions that will help you get there and never look back.

No Fast Food

If you feel like you’re buying more fast food than you should, it’s time to wave Wendy’s and Burger King goodbye and try putting fast-food restaurants in the rearview mirror in 2025.

Eating Fewer Snacks

Ditching snacks and sugary foods may seem like an unrealistic goal, but you can always take baby steps. Try going without them for a week or a month and keep it going if you notice a positive change.

Trying New Recipes

Trying new recipes is a great way to flex your cooking skills and embrace a healthier diet, especially if you’re working with whole foods such as fruits, veggies, and lean protein.

Explore Vegan Foods

If you’re thinking of exploring a plant-based lifestyle, try adding more vegan foods to your daily menu. Fruits and veggies are always a safe choice, but you can also explore tofu, plant-based milks, hummus, and more.

Stay Hydrated

Drinking eight glasses of water a day should be the norm. If you’re struggling to reach it, consider tracking your progress in a notebook until you hit the golden mark of two litters.

Brand collaborations inspired by Wicked are everywhere these days, and some of them even entered the world of food. From Oreo to Betty Crocker, several brands we all know and love released collaborations inspired by this musical, and here are five of the very best.

Oreo

Oreo celebrated the release of Wicked by launching limited-edition cookies, called Green Elixir in honor of Elphaba and Bubblegum in honor of Glinda.

Rice Krispies Treats

Rice Krispies Treats paid homage to this iconic musical by releasing a special edition of crispy marshmallow squares covered with white and green sprinkles.

Starbucks

Wicked fans can also celebrate its release at Starbucks, with a peppermint-flavored drink called Elphaba’s Cold Brew and a mango-dragonfruit Refresher called Glinda’s Pink Potion. This coffee chain also introduced an impressive lineup of drinkware in honor of this film.

Stanley

Speaking of drinkware, Stanley also hopped on the Wicked bandwagon with new green and pink tumblers inspired by the film’s leading duo. This limited edition collection was available at Target, along with many other Wicked-themed products.

Betty Crocker

If you’re a fan of baking, Betty Crocker’s Wicked collection will be your favorite. They prepared a vanilla cupcake kit, which will reveal either pink or green batter once you mix the ingredients.

Baking pumpkin pie often feels mandatory during the fall season. Honestly, we wouldn’t have an issue if it was, considering that it is a perfect comforting dessert for gloomy and rainy days.

However, the truth is that making pumpkin pie at home isn’t the easiest of tasks. Oftentimes, the pie doesn’t turn out the way people envision, which makes them discouraged about trying again. But what if we told you that the reason for this isn’t a bad recipe or a lack of cooking skills?

In most cases, it is just a matter of a few simple mistakes made throughout the baking process that are easily avoidable. Check them out below.

Making Your Own Pumpkin Puree

We understand that making everything from scratch is a lot more satisfying. However, when it comes to pumpkin puree, this usually leads to a downfall. When you make your own pumpkin puree, it is quite hard to get the consistency and wetness right. Canned pumpkin puree, on the other hand, has the perfect texture and properties for pies.

Using the Wrong Kind of Pan

Not every pan will do a great job of baking the pumpkin pie. If you use an aluminum one, it will heat up rather quickly and result in a burnt pie. Glass pan is a much better choice as it will bake the pie evenly and also allow you to see when the crust acquires the perfect golden brown color.

Failing to “Blind Bake” the Crust

Speaking about the crust, it is essential that you employ the “blind baking” technique. This calls for baking the crust first and then adding the rest of the ingredients for further baking. By doing this, you will avoid the crust from becoming soggy or undercooked.

Not Paying Enough Attention to Spices

Spices play a crucial role in making or breaking a pumpkin pie, calling for a measured approach. You should make sure that your spices haven’t been resting in the spice cabinet for too long because, in that case, they likely lost their aroma. Additionally, don’t hesitate to put more spices that you enjoy to make them stand out.

Clam chowder isn’t the easiest dish to make, which is why most people turn to the canned version. But while this route is fast and convenient, it rarely results in a satisfying meal, considering that canned clam chowder can be quite tasteless or simply boring. Luckily, there are several tips you can use to elevate canned clam chowder and make it more flavorful and exciting. Check them out below.

Add Chili Flakes or Hot Sauce

One simple way to make clam chowder better is to add some heat to it. This will shake up your palette and make the existing flavors more pronounced. Simply take some chili flakes and stir them into the dish. Out of chili flakes? Any hot sauce will do the job quite well. Just make sure not to go overboard.

Mix in Some Cream

Homemade clam chowder recipes use generous amounts of cream or milk. However, the dairy content in canned clam chowder is usually on the low side. Mixing a bit of cream into the canned clam chowder will give you a more satisfying texture and pronounced flavors. One or two tablespoons of cream towards the end of cooking will be just right.

Throw in Bacon Bits

Bacon makes everything better, and canned clam chowder is no different. Cut the bacon strips into bits and crisp them up in a pan. Then add them to clam chowder while heating it up. The fattiness and rich flavor of the bacon will be a game changer.

Chicken lovers, rejoice. McDonald’s will finally introduce the Chicken Big Mac, a popular international menu item, to foodies in the United States.

McDonald’s announced earlier this week that Chicken Big Mac will be available at selected US locations starting on October 10. However, it will be offered for a limited time, so you will have to be quick if you don’t want to miss out.

Chicken Big Mac is a twist on the legendary Big Mac. The sandwich contains all the toppings and follows the familiar structure of the original, with the only difference being that the beef patties are swapped for tempura battered chicken patties.

YouTuber and self-professed Big Mac enthusiast Kai Cenat already had the opportunity to try and give it a stamp of approval.

“With the introduction of the Chicken Big Mac, we’re excited to pay homage to one of our most iconic menu items, the Big Mac, and introduce it to a whole new generation of fans,” Tariq Hassan, chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald’s USA, said in a press release.

Chicken Big Mac has long been available in international markets, including the UK, Canada, and Germany, as a seasonal or limited menu item, but this is the first time fast food enthusiasts will have the opportunity to try it out.

Now that warmer days are here, lighter meals like soup and salads can make a return to the menu. This fresh and tasty salad provides you with several portions of fruit and vegetables. Thanks to its high protein and fiber content, you won’t get hungry in the mid-afternoon, and it’s light enough to serve as a side for dinner. Toasting the nuts yourself will really bring out the flavor and crunch, but you can buy roasted nuts if you’re short on time.

Ingredients (to serve 4):

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/2 cup of green olives, pitted
  • 1 romaine lettuce
  • 1 1/2 cups of fresh spinach or similar leaves
  • 1 cup of baby tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • A small bunch of fresh basil
  • 2 tins of butter beans
  • Salt and pepper, for seasoning
  • 1/2 cup of toasted nuts

Instructions:

  1. Carefully slice all of the olives in half.
  2. Slice all of the tomatoes into halves or quarters.
  3. Shred the fresh basil and mix this into the olive oil. Season well with salt and pepper.
  4. Remove the stones from the avocados, mash the flesh with a fork.
  5. Drain the beans and rinse them under cold running water.
  6. Finely shred the lettuce and tear around half of the spinach leaves in half (don’t worry about being too precise).
  7. In a large salad bowl, mix the spinach, lettuce, beans and tomatoes. Pour over the oil and mix again.
  8. Serve the salad into bowls or plates, then top with a quarter of the mashed avocado and a quarter of the nuts.

  • 2 leeks
  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
  • 1 cup of grated cheddar cheese

  • 2 eggs
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Optionally: chopped fresh herbs such as parsley or chives for garnish

  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

  5. Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake the leek and cheddar bites for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy on the outside.
