Stuffed Banana Peppers are the Perfect Party Snack

While stuffed peppers have become a widespread sensation, there are some pepper combinations that are lesser known than others. Among these are stuffed banana peppers. Here is how you can make stuffed banana peppers that are sure to make for a great party snack.

Ingredients:

  • 6 large banana peppers
  • 12 ounces ground beef
  • 12 ounces ground pork
  • 8 ounces mozzarella
  • 4 ounces grated parmesan
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • ground pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • chopped parsley

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. While waiting, slice the banana peppers longways.
  2. Throw the beef, bread crumbs, pork, eggs, Italian seasoning, milk, and red pepper into a large bowl and mix. Season with salt and pepper according to taste and mix for about 1 minute.
  3. With the banana peppers open as much as possible without breaking, stuff each one with about 1/4 cup of beef mixture.
  4. Place the peppers on a baking tray and bake for about 30 minutes.
  5. Top off with parmesan and mozzarella and cook further until cheese is melted. Top with parsley and enjoy.
