Brown Butter Dubai Chocolate Chip Cookies

This creation by @wellmadebykiley replaces the chocolate part of Dubai chocolate with cookie dough. The result is a crispy and gooey snack that is best enjoyed with a glass of milk. The video recipe for brown butter Dubai chocolate chip cookies has received 3.2 million views since being shared in March.

@wellmadebykiley

BROWN BUTTER DUBAI CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES Can you even 🥹 Recipe below OR go to my website through the link in my bio 🤎 #Recipe Details (makes 16-18 cookies): Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies: – 1 cup + 2 tbsp (258g) salted butter – 1 cup (230g) brown sugar – 1/2 cup (110g) granulated sugar – 2 eggs, at room temp – 2 tbsp (30ml) heavy cream, room temp (sub: milk of choice) – 2 tsp (8g) vanilla extract – 2 3/4 cups (350g) all-purpose flour @Bob’s Red Mill – 1 tsp (6g) baking soda – 1 tsp (4g) baking powder – 1/4 tsp (2g) salt – 1 1/2 cups (300g) chocolate chips of choice (I used semi-sweet) @Nestle Toll House Filling: – 1 cup (90g) kataifi (shredded phyllo dough) – 3/4 cup (200g) pistachio butter or cream – 1 tbsp (14g) salted butter, for toasting kataifi Instructions: Start by browning the butter. Add the butter to a saucepan over medium-high heat. Allow to melt and slightly brown (~5 minutes). Remove from the heat and immediately pour into a large bowl. Allow to cool slightly. In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside. Once the brown butter has cooled, add both sugars and whisk. Add in the eggs and whisk until well combined and lighter in color. Then, add the heavy cream and vanilla. Whisk to combine. Add the dry ingredients to the wet, and gently fold until fully incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the fridge to chill for at least 1-2 hours (ideally 2-4 hours) or up to 24 hours. I let mine sit in the fridge overnight! Prepare the filling. In a large pan over medium heat, melt the 1 tbsp of butter and add the shredded kataifi. Toast the kataifi until golden and crispy, stirring frequently. Transfer to a bowl and let cool. Once cooled, add the pistachio butter and mix until well combined. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Scoop and portion out the filling into 2 tsp sized balls, placing onto the baking sheet. Chill in the fridge or freezer for at least 1 hour. Once ready to bake, preheat the oven to 375F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Remove the dough from the fridge and allow to sit at room temperature for 20-25 minutes to make it easier to scoop. If it needs longer, let it sit longer! Use a large cookie scoop (3 tbsp) to scoop (pack the dough into the scoop with your hands) the dough out. Flatten each ball with your hands. Place the filling portions into the center and shape the dough around it to form cookie balls, adding a little more dough if needed to ensure the filling is completely enclosed. Place the cookie dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, spacing at least 2” apart. Bake at 375F for 14-16 minutes, until lightly golden and the edges are set. Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately shape them with a bowl or round cookie cutter if desired. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire cooling rack. Serve warm with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt and milk, if desired. Gin and tonic is one of the most popular cocktails on the market, and if you still haven’t mastered the art of making it—now’s the time. If you feel like your gin and tonic is missing something to be perfect, here are five tips and tricks that can help you take your cocktail to new heights.

Quality Gin

The gin you’re using can make or break your cocktail, and it takes some time to find one that works for you. London dry gin is a timeless classic, but you can also put a twist on your drink with floral varieties.

Tonic Choice

Tonic water is the main ingredient of your cocktail, and your gin and tonic will fall flat if you don’t make the right choice. Schweppes is the safest option because it offers a wide variety of different flavors for everyone’s taste.

Ice Dilemma

Ice clubs will keep your drink cold, but you shouldn’t go overboard because they’ll dilute your drink after melting away.

Glass Choice

Gin and tonic is usually served in highball glasses or balloon-shaped glasses because they’ll allow the aromas to develop, while also leaving room to add more garnishes.

Extra Garnishes

Speaking of garnish, orange and lemon peels are the most popular choice, but you can use everything from rosemary and cucumber to mint and barriers.

Canned soup is a beloved pantry staple many people turn to when looking for a quick and easy meal, but it’s not without its flaws. This ultimate comfort food usually isn’t as healthy as we’d like to believe, and here are three things worth keeping in mind before you reach for a can of soup at a grocery store.

Nutritional Value

Never buy a can of soup before checking its label because you’ll learn everything you need to know this way. The biggest issue with canned soups is their high sodium content, and they can also contain added amounts of preservatives, sugars, and saturated fats.

BPA-Free Cans

BPA can still be found in cans and jars used for packaging food, and you should look for the non-BPA label whenever possible. It’s also a good idea to inspect cans for dents or damage to avoid potential safety risks.

Room For Improvement

Despite all of their flaws, canned soups leave a lot of room for improvement because you don’t have to serve them as they come. Since canned soup usually lacks fresh ingredients, you can always add some veggies to the mix, or experiment with different spices and herbs to make it even more delicious.

All-you-can-eat buffets are a great way to get a filling meal for cheap while also sampling an array of dishes you wouldn’t have thought of trying otherwise. However, if you want to have a great experience at an all-you-can-eat buffet, there are certain foods you should steer clear of unless you are really craving them.

High-Carb Foods

You’ll notice that high-carb foods like mashed potatoes and pasta are always prominently displayed in all-you-can-eat establishments. That is because they are cheap and filling. If you load your plate with them, you won’t be able to sample much of anything else because you will already be stuffed.

Fried Foods

Fried foods are hard to resist, but you should make an effort at all-you-can-eat buffets. Most places use cheap frying oils, while fried foods can often sit for hours on the open, making them unhealthy and often unsatisfying.

Sushi

It is rare to find good sushi at all-you-can-eat buffets, so you won’t miss out on anything if you skip it. But most importantly, the handling of food is often questionable at these types of establishments, which is never good when it comes to raw fish.

Dairy and Cream-Based Food

You are better off leaving dairy and cream-based food out of your plate. This type of food is usually loaded with unhealthy fats and is also more prone to spoiling. The same goes for creamy sauces and salad dressing.

Soda and Juices

Finally, you should opt for regular or sparkling water when at an all-you-can-eat buffet. Soda and juices are usually packed with sugar, but they can also make you feel bloated and upset your stomach.

Instant noodles are one of the first things people reach for when looking for a cheap, quick, and easy meal, but they’re not as amazing as they seem. If you’re eating instant noodles on a regular basis, here are some of their unhealthy properties that you probably didn’t know about.

High in Sodium

Like many other packaged foods, instant noodles have a pretty high sodium content, so they’re best avoided if you’re trying to eliminate excess salt from your diet.

Unhealthy Preservatives

Like many processed foods, instant noodles contain many artificial flavorings and preservatives that aren’t great for your health in the long run, most notably monosodium glutamate aka MSG.

Bad Fats

Instant noodles also have a significant fat content, largely because they’re often fried in unhealthy oils during their manufacturing process.

Low Nutritional Content

If you’re trying to maintain a balanced diet, instant noodles won’t do you any favors because they’re low on vitamins, minerals, protein, and fiber.

Poor Diet

Eating instant noodles every once in a while is all fun and games, but don’t let it become a force of habit. Studies have found regular consumption is linked to poor overall diet quality, so it’s best to eat them in moderation.

Having lemons in the kitchen ready to be used is great as they can add so much flavor and depth to all kinds of dishes. However, sometimes it’s the case that you end up with lots of lemons around that need using and you’re unsure of what to do with them. Here are some ideas for creative uses for lemons to help you out.

As a Window Spray

Lemons are an amazing fruit as they provide so much to the kitchen but also can be used for so many cleaning tasks. They’re particularly good for cleaning glass as they help to achieve that gorgeous, streak-free shine that’s so desirable. Simply mix half a cup of lemon juice with two cups of warm water and half a cup of white vinegar and pour this into a spray bottle. Spray the mixture onto windows and then wipe clean with a microfiber cloth.

To Freshen Up the Microwave

Microwaves are a great invention, but they so often end up totally covered in food, which gradually becomes more solid and stuck the more it’s used. Cleaning this food can be a struggle, but lemons can help to make this an easy job. Take one whole lemon slice it up and add the slices to a microwavable cup filled with water. Heat this in the microwave for five minutes and then leave with the door shut for at least 15 minutes. The lemon juice and steam will help to dislodge the dried food while also leaving a lovely fresh lemon scent.

October is National Book Month, and Pizza Hut is celebrating the occasion in style. They’ll be giving away one million free pizzas throughout October as a way of marking the 40th anniversary of the Book It! Program.

Pizza Hut launched the reading incentive Book It! in 1984, in the hope they’ll ignite a passion for reading in millions of children. Four decades down the road, 70 million children discovered the magic of reading thanks to this program, and the fast-food chain decided to celebrate the big anniversary.

“I’m incredibly proud of what the BOOK IT! program has achieved over the past four decades. As we’re celebrating 40 years, we’re excited to invite readers of all ages to rediscover the joy of reading – one book (and pizza) at a time,” said Carl Loredo, Pizza Hut’s president for the United States in a press release.

Pizza Hut will be giving away one million free personal pan pizzas throughout the month of October, but there are a few steps you’ll have to follow to get your hands on one of them. The free six-inch pizzas are only available when ordering online with the promo code “BOOKIT40”, and you’ll have to spend at least $8 on your order to qualify for this offer.

Dubai Chocolate Pancakes

Nutella pancakes move aside. Dubai chocolate pancakes will take your breakfast to another level, but let’s face it, you can eat them any time of the day. There are countless variations on TikTok, but we particularly liked the one from @sohonutrition. She spreads Dubai chocolate’s kataifi and pistachio filling on a pancake and adds a drizzle of melted chocolate. She places another pancake on top and repeats the process several times. The final result is mouthwatering.
