Tasty Brazilian Vinaigrette Recipe for Your Next Barbeque

The term vinaigrette is often used to describe a type of salad dressing, but in this case, it refers to a salad from Brazil that is much like a salsa. It’s a classic in restaurants around Brazil and is typically served as part of a large barbeque meal, along with various grilled meats and other salads and side dishes. It’s a simple idea that is easy to make but will have you rushing to make it time and time again. Impress the guests at your next summer barbeque with this fresh, tasty salad. This recipe will serve 4 people as a side dish. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of cherry tomatoes
  • 2 large bell peppers 
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 cup fresh parsley
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup white wine vinegar 
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Finely slice the onion.
  2. Cut the cherry tomatoes into quarters.
  3. Chop the bell peppers into small pieces.
  4. Roughly chop the leaves of the parsley.
  5. Combine everything in a large salad bowl.
  6. Add salt and pepper and give it a good stir.
  7. Pour the vinegar and extra virgin olive oil into the bowl and stir well.
  8. Cover the bowl and leave it to stand at room temperature for 10-20 minutes before serving.
