Argue as much as you like, but tea tastes better in a teapot and that is the hill we are prepared to die on. It is most common to see tea being served in a pot while dining at a fancy restaurant or indulging in a classy high tea, but there’s nothing stopping you from recreating the elegance in your own home—particularly if you get one of these teapots.

Glass

As many Asian nations will remind you, tea time is an experience. There is nothing quite as mesmerizing as watching a blooming tea open up from its dried state into an exquisite flower. A glass teapot let’s you do just that, as well as letting you know just how much tea you have left before it’s time to brew some more.

Cast Iron

If you’re going for authenticity, cast iron is where you’ll find it. Called a tetsubin in Japanese, these teapots were traditionally heated over hot coals. Although they are heavier, cast iron pots will keep your tea hotter for longer.

Ceramic

Tea has been part of English culture since the 1600s and is now a social norm. Whether it’s an elegant high tea affair or a simple cuppa at home, pouring the drink from a ceramic teapot just makes the entire experience feel more classy.
