This Date Shake Will Keep You Fuller for Longer

Dates play an important role in Ramadan. The sweet fruit are often used to break the daily fast, but they can also help you get through the day without food. If you are fasting for Ramadan or any other reason, this date protein shake is full of fiber and will ensure you don’t go hungry.

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana, frozen
  • 2–3 dates, soaked in hot water for 5 minutes
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • ¼ cup rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of cardamom (optional)
  • Coffee (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Soak the dates in hot water for 5 minutes. 
  2. Add the banana, dates, chia seeds, oats, almond butter, spices, and coffee into a blender and whiz for 30 seconds.
  3. Add in ice and blend again until it reaches the creamy consistency that you want.
