]]>Fresh and juicy watermelon provides a delicious complement to the tanginess of lemon juice in this 6-ingredient lemonade recipe by Farm Flavor. Sweetened with a homemade mint simple syrup, it has a unique and refreshing flavor that makes it a perfect summer treat. Top it with more mint and some lemon slices for a pop of color.
Peaches are underrated as far as summer fruit goes, and we’re prepared to die on this hill. Think about it—how many other fruits are sweet, tangy, and juicy all at the same time? One of our go-to ways to enjoy peaches is with lemonade, especially this recipe by Pink Owl Kitchen. It’s sweetened with fresh peach brown sugar syrup, though we love to add some extra peach slices for garnish.
We can’t honestly say it would have ever occurred to us to make lemonade with fresh cherries and rosemary on our own, but one sip of this recipe by Vegan Candyland, and we were hooked. Dark cherries balance the tartness of the lemons with a kind of rich sweetness, while a sprig of fresh rosemary spices things up. It’s like pink lemonade, all grown up.

]]>Take a bunch of grapes and poke each one once with a toothpick. Soak for about 8 hours in a bowl of sparkling wine, then roll them in sugar before serving. Sure, there may be something a bit questionable about soaking grapes in what is essentially grape juice, but we promise that they make for an incredible combination. Just don’t think about it too much.
Cut a hole the size of the vodka bottle cap into a seedless watermelon, then poke a skewer into the hole to make sure you’ve completely cut through the rind. Carefully tip the vodka bottle into the hole, making sure that it fits snugly enough to stay upright. Leave it to drain into the watermelon for at least 20 minutes or until the bottle is emptied. Chill before serving, and you’ve got a party on a platter.
Cut a pineapple into spears and remove the rind. Place the spears in a bowl or tupperware container, then pour in your choice of tequila until all of the pineapple is completely covered. Refrigerate for 4-6 hours before serving. You can also experiment with using different types of liquor depending on your preferences. We find Malibu Rum also works well and adds a refreshing, tropical taste that complements the pineapple perfectly.

Sweeten with a touch of honey or agave syrup, and garnish with a sprig of mint for a burst of freshness.
Beat the summer heat with a delightful berry-infused iced tea. Brew a pitcher of your preferred herbal tea (such as hibiscus or berry blend) and let it chill. Add a handful of fresh mixed berries like strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. For a touch of sweetness, drizzle in some berry syrup or agave nectar. Serve over ice and garnish with a few extra berries for a colorful presentation.

Indulge in the sweet flavors of summer with a peach-infused iced tea. Brew a pitcher of black tea and let it chill. Slice fresh ripe peaches and muddle them in a glass. First up, the spicy margarita. This classic cocktail gets a twist with the addition of jalapeño slices, adding a kick of heat to the sweet and sour flavors of the margarita. Simply mix tequila, lime juice, and agave nectar in a shaker with ice, then add sliced jalapeños to infuse the spice. Strain into a glass with ice and enjoy!
For a sweeter option, try the strawberry spritz. Mix fresh strawberries with vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a shaker with ice, then strain into a glass with ice and top with sparkling water. Garnish with a strawberry and a sprig of mint for a refreshing and colorful drink.

]]>The orange-flavored beverage was a staple of many childhoods as it labeled itself as a healthier alternative to soda. During the late ‘90s, it was the third-biggest selling drink in the UK after Coca-Cola and Pepsi.
SunnyD’s flavor range has expanded over the years, growing from just orange to orange mango, orange pineapple, orange strawberry, blue raspberry, watermelon, and lemonade.
Their newest addition is for kids over 21.
SunnyD Vodka Seltzer contains 4.5% alcohol and comes in a four-pack, as well as individual cans.
“SunnyD is a powerful brand, the most boldly unique orange drink on the planet,” said Ilene Bergenfeld, the chief marketing officer of Harvest Hill Beverage Company. “Consumers are passionate about this iconic brand, rooted in nostalgia but with a taste that resonates today. Many have told us that they enjoy SunnyD as a mixer and asked for this product. So, we looked at the hard seltzer category, and thought, good, but we can do better. And SunnyD Vodka Seltzer was born.”
So, if that feeling of wanting to revisit your childhood strikes while on a night out, you know what to order.

]]>Lemonade is an all-time summer classic, and if you still don’t have your go-to recipe, Donofrio’s homemade lemonade is just the thing you need on a hot summer day.

Made with tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice, a margarita is one of the first drinks that come to mind when someone mentions the word “cocktail”. Donofrio is a huge fan of this beverage, and she enjoys spicing it up by adding jalapeño slices to the mix.
The list of margarita variations is pretty much endless and you can find quite a few on Donofrio’s blog, including the recipe for these sweet and refreshing strawberry margaritas.

]]>Sparkling Pineapple Juice
Pineapple juice is super refreshing on its own, but add a little sparkle and you’ve got the perfect summer beverage sure to satisfy anyone, anytime. We love that they don’t add any extra sugar and let the natural sweetness of the pineapple shine on its own. Add a little booze for a quick and easy cocktail.
When Life Gives You Lemons Ice Cream
Think lemon meringue pie, but in ice cream form. It’s zesty, tangy and refreshingly sweet, and packed full of shortbread cookie bits. Throw some in the blender with your choice of milk and top with whipped cream to make it a milkshake.
Oat Non-Dairy Ice Cream Sandwiches
To all of our vegan and lactose intolerant friends, we recommend you run, don’t walk to pick up a box of this oat milk-based take on a classic summer treat. Two chocolate cookies surround a layer of creamy vanilla ice cream to create a sweet and not-too-heavy treat.

]]>One of the best dishes that uses coconut milk is Thai curry. You can use store-bought curry paste, or make your own. Fry up some veggies and a protein with the curry paste, then add coconut milk and simmer for a hearty, rich, and healthy meal.
Bammies are flatbread fritters made from yuca (cassava) and are often served with fish. Make these simple but delicious pancakes by soaking shredded cassava in coconut milk and frying to crispy perfection.
There are two drinks that are particularly good with coconut milk: Thai iced tea and piña coladas. Thai iced tea uses sweet black tea with added flavors like tamarind and star anise, and plenty of coconut milk to add flavor and cream. Meanwhile piña colada is a delicious cocktail, best made by blending fresh pineapple, coconut milk, and rum with ice in a blender.
