Ever dived into a chicken wing and thought it gave your lips a nice glow? Well, you’re in luck.

The folks at Applebee’s must be on the same wavelength as they have created a gloss that will have you wanting to lick your lips! The product is a collaboration with the Winky Lux make-up brand and will feature four glosses inspired by Applebee’s famous chicken wing sauces.

“[Wings] are one of our most popular menu items,” explained Applebee’s chief marketing officer, Joel Yashinsky. “So, we partnered with the development team at Winky Lux to create these lip glosses inspired by four of our most popular wing sauces. Find your perfect shade and spice up your date night by adding a little bit of that Applebee’s flavor.”

If you’re wondering what brought about such a bizarre collab—you’re not the only one—it is because National Lipstick Day and National Wings Day both fall on July 29.

The Saucy Gloss range comes in a quartet of flavors and colors. Get Me Hot Buffalo is a creamy coral that has all the spice you’d expect from buffalo sauce, while Sweet Chile Kiss is a deep red with gold specks. Be My Honey Pepper is a shimmery gold like honey itself, and Honey BBQ-T looks just like barbecue sauce.

The Saucy Gloss collection is limited edition and retails for $65 for the set, or $18 each.

Chicken wings are so awesome that we overestimate how much we can eat and buy too many. You might think to yourself there is nothing wrong with that, but the issue is that chicken wings don’t tend to act great as leftover food. They are usually rubbery when you reheat them and seem like they have lost their flavor.

Luckily, there are a few methods can help you turn back the clock on those tasty chicken wings and make them taste fresh. Check them out below.

Oven Method

If you want your chicken wings to be as great as yesterday, then look to your oven for help. Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and line the wings on it while making sure they are not too crowded. Toss it into the oven, which you’ve preheated to 350 F, for 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the number of wings. Dig in.

Air Fryer Method

Reheating your chicken wings in the air fryer is the best way to make them crispy again. Place the chicken wings in the air fryer in a single layer. Reheat them to 350 F for three minutes. Then flip them over and repeat. It’s that simple.

Microwave Method

The microwave isn’t usually the way you want to go when it comes to reheating chicken wings. However, you can still get great results if you do it properly. Simply take the chicken wings out of your fridge and let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Then pop them into the microwave using a microwave-safe container with a lid. Turn the microwave on high for one minute. Next, flip the wings and let them spin for one more minute. Enjoy.

Chicken wings offer incredible versatility, but most people make it their own way and call it a day. Ashlea Carver Adams is not one of those people, and she’s always in the mood to put a twist on the classic recipe. You can find countless recipes on her food blog All the Healthy Things, and here are three that you should try ASAP.

Crispy Baked Ranch Chicken Wings

Chicken wings and ranch dressing often go hand in hand, but Carver still found a way to make this recipe her own. She made her own ranch seasoning with parsley, chives, dill, onion, and garlic powder and served it with the crispiest chicken wings that you could possibly make.

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings

Speaking of perfectly crispy chicken wings you can make following Adams’ instructions, this recipe also fits the bill. Her garlic parmesan chicken wings owe their delicious taste to homemade garlic parmesan sauce, which is made with butter, garlic, lemon zest, parsley, and grated parmesan.

Buffalo Chicken Wings

If the previous two recipes aren’t spicy enough for you, Adams’ take on buffalo chicken wings won’t leave you disappointed. They’re also the easiest to make, and it takes less than ten basic ingredients to get it done.

One of our go-to dishes when we’re short on time is chicken wings. Easily made in the oven after being marinated, the versatility of wings also allow you to imbue them with whatever flavors you prefer to make a personalized dish.

Mexican wings are one of the best variations to prepare, adding a spicy and citrusy kick to the wings. Here is how to prepare them yourself!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken wings
  • ¼ cup Mexican hot sauce (I use Valentina extra spicy)
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

Start off by putting the chicken wings in a large container and adding all of the other liquid ingredients and spices. Put them in your refrigerator and allow to marinate for 6-8 hours.

Once this time is up, preheat your oven to 400  F. Take an oven tray and line it with aluminum foil, and then arrange the wings on the foil and bake in the oven for approximately 45 minutes.

Remove the wings, allow to cool for 10-15 minutes, and then enjoy!

Did you know that you can make chicken wings that aren’t spicy, but that are just as delicious as the traditional hot wings?

It’s true! In fact, one of our favorite ways to put a new twist on chicken wings is to make them citrusy, which makes the wings absolutely delectable. Here’s our favorite recipe for citrusy chicken wings that you are sure to love.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken bone-in wings
  • 4 ounces orange juice
  • 2 ounces lime juice
  • 2 ounces lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Valentina hot sauce
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Start off by placing the chicken wings, along with the orange juice, lime juice, lemon juice, and Valentina hot sauce inside of a plastic bag. Put the bag inside of your refrigerator and let it marinate for 2-4 hours.
  2. After this, take the wings out of the bag and put them on a plate. Combine black pepper and garlic powder (to taste) and rub onto the wings.
  3. Place inside of a frying pan on medium heat and cook thoroughly on both sides. A golden-brown coat should develop on the outside of the skin, and this will help you know that they are ready to eat.
