Chicken wings are an American classic. Spicy, crispy, and oh-so-addictive, a pile of wings is enough to get any party started. Made with just a few store-cupboard ingredients, these maple-sriracha wings pack a serious punch.
Ingredients:
- 30 chicken wings (serves 4 as a side)
- 3 tablespoons sriracha
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- Sesame seeds (optional)
- Scallions, finely chopped (optional)
Instructions:
- Combine the maple syrup and siracha and mix well.
- Coat the chicken wings with the maple-sriracha mix. Leave to marinade for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Transfer chicken wings to a glass dish or a foil tray. Cover with foil and place in the oven.
- Cook for 15 minutes, then turn the wings over, and cook for a further 15 minutes. This will ensure that they are evenly cooked.
- Remove the tin foil covering and cook for a further 15 minutes.
- Turn the wings oven and place them back in the oven for another 15 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Remove the tray, place the wings in a serving dish, and drizzle a little extra maple syrup over the top. It is optional to top the wings with some sesame seeds and thinly sliced spring onions. Enjoy!
