Chicken wings are an American classic. Spicy, crispy, and oh-so-addictive, a pile of wings is enough to get any party started. Made with just a few store-cupboard ingredients, these maple-sriracha wings pack a serious punch.

Ingredients:

  • 30 chicken wings (serves 4 as a side)
  • 3 tablespoons sriracha
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • Sesame seeds (optional)
  • Scallions, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Combine the maple syrup and siracha and mix well.
  2. Coat the chicken wings with the maple-sriracha mix. Leave to marinade for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Transfer chicken wings to a glass dish or a foil tray. Cover with foil and place in the oven.
  4. Cook for 15 minutes, then turn the wings over, and cook for a further 15 minutes. This will ensure that they are evenly cooked.
  5. Remove the tin foil covering and cook for a further 15 minutes.
  6. Turn the wings oven and place them back in the oven for another 15 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
  7. Remove the tray, place the wings in a serving dish, and drizzle a little extra maple syrup over the top. It is optional to top the wings with some sesame seeds and thinly sliced spring onions. Enjoy!
