Each visit to Starbucks is full of surprises, and the popular coffee chain is bringing another amazing innovation to its stores this winter. Starbucks is bringing back the condiment bar, and offering a “for here” option to dine-in customers, which allows you to refill some drinks free of charge.

Participating Starbucks locations in North America rolled out the “for here” offer this week, allowing dine-in customers to receive their drink in a ceramic mug, glass, or clean personal cup. They will also be eligible for free refills during the same visit, with tea, hot or iced brewed coffee being some of the drinks included in this offer.

This initiative marks Starbucks’ latest attempt to embrace sustainability after this coffee chain made a pledge to reduce its overall waste by 50% by 2030.

“Offering customers who sit and stay their beverages in ceramic mugs and glassware is one way we’re returning our cafes to warm welcoming coffeehouses. It’s also another way that Starbucks is reducing waste and making each visit a more sustainable choice,” said a Starbucks spokesperson in a press release.

Starbucks is also bringing back its iconic condiment bar, which hasn’t been around since the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Customers can now add creamer, milk, and sweeteners to their drinks on their own, thus freeing up baristas to make more orders.
