Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 oz cognac
  • 1 oz Cointreau or triple sec
  • 1 cup ice
  • 2 tablespoons superfine sugar
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 lemon wedge

Instructions:

  1. The best glass for the sidecar cocktail is a tall martini glass. If you don’t have one, search for a coupe champagne glass.
  2. Grab a plate and add the superfine sugar on it. Go over the rim of the chilled glass with the lemon wedge. Dip the rim in the sugar.
  3. Get a cocktail shaker and fill it with the lemon juice, cognac, and Cointreau. Include the ice and cover the lid of the shaker.
  4. Start shaking and when you feel that the shaker is cold you can stop.
