None of us have as much time as we would like, and you can’t always spend much time on your lunch or evening meal. Fortunately, you can still make delicious meals in minutes. All you need is a microwave and a pair of hands. Here are some quick and easy dishes that you can try at home.

Risotto

Add about one tablespoon of butter to a microwaveable bowl, along with a chopped onion. Microwave for one and a half minutes. Then, add two cloves of crushed garlic and half a cup of Arborio rice. Cook for two minutes on medium power. Stir and repeat. Serve when thick and creamy.

Poached Eggs and Smoked Salmon

Take a small plastic microwaveable cup and fill it up a third with water. Then break an egg into it, before seasoning with salt and pepper and popping it in the microwave. Bake on full power for 30 seconds, and voila! Poached eggs in under a minute. Top onto toast and garnish with slivers of tasty smoked salmon.

Baked Potato

Take your potato, pierce it several times with a fork, and pop it into the microwave on a microwaveable dish for seven minutes on full power. Then, turn the potato over, and cook again for a further seven minutes. Poke a fork into the potato. When it feels soft inside and slides off of the fork, you know it’s ready!
