Ingredients

  • ½ cup white rice
  • 5 cups sugar
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon yeast

Instructions

1. Wash the rice and raisins.

2. Bring water to a boil and then let it cool down.

3. Mix rice, raisings, and sugar in a large glass jar. Add water and give it a good stir.

4. Add lemon juice and yeast and then stir some more.

5. Put the lid back on and leave the jar at a room temperature.

6. Revisit the jar each day or two and stir the rice wine.

7. After two weeks, open the jar and filter the rice wine using a cloth or sterile gaze.

8. Wash the jar, let it dry, and then return the rice wine. Leave it for additional seven days.

9. The wine is ready to be enjoyed after one week. Just transfer it to clean glass bottle, store in fridge, and pour yourself a glass whenever you feel like it.
