Make Oat Milk On Your Own in Three Simple Steps

If you’re looking for healthier alternatives to dairy milk, making one on your own is also an option. DIY oak milk is gaining popularity these days, and you can give it a try in the comfort of your own home.

Hannah Sunderani, who runs the food blog Two Spoons, shared one of the best recipes for homemade oak milk out there. You can make it in three simple steps, and it will immediately win you over with its rich and smooth texture.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup large flake oats
  • 1/4 cup raw cashews 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or other neutral oil
  • pinch sea salt
  • 4 cups of water

Instructions

  1. Add oats, raw cashews, maple syrup, coconut oil, sea salt and water to the blender, and blend them on high for a maximum of 30 seconds.
  2. After placing your nut milk bag over a large bowl, pour oat blend inside, and strain the milk from the pulp by squeezing the bag.
  3. Transfer the milk from the bowl into the blender, so it could be easily poured into an airtight bottle, that you can store inside your fridge for up to five days.
