What’s better than pie? Pies that are works of art. And when it comes to beautiful pies, you have to check out Liz Joy’s. Her pies feature fairy tales, TV show characters, seasonal themes, and Disney characters, and all of them are as fabulous as the last, looking more like works of art than baked goods.
Between Alice in Wonderland, Game of Thrones, The Little Mermaid, and Sleeping Beauty her pies are an ode to films, TV shows, and childhood stories.
“I love love love playing with different mediums and materials and liked the idea that pies, by nature, allow you to work with several different layers. Once I started brainstorming design concepts, I also realized they’re a unique medium for storytelling. I love the storytelling aspect and usually focus on creating a sense that the viewer is peeking into a unique edible world,” Joy told Bored Panda.
Pies aren’t the only thing you’ll find on the award-winning dessert designer’s Instagram, no baked good is off-limits—there are cookies, cupcakes, cakes, and donuts. And all of her creations are works of art with tons of themes and styles. They all look super delicious!
