Light and Airy Pear Recipes

If you find yourself drowning in pears after this year’s pear harvest and have run out of acquaintances to pass them on to, never fear. There are loads of wonderful dishes you can transform them in to. Let’s take a look at three of the lightest and airy recipes that could soon be adorning your dinner table.

Steak and Pear Salad

This delicious dish is perfect for brunch or a light lunch. Just season some boneless beef steak with salt and pepper and grill it in the oven. Slice two pears into very thin slices. Then add four tablespoons of lime juice, fish sauce, sugar, and water into a bowl and mix. Finally, pour this dressing over your stake, sliced pear, and salad leaves and you’re done.

Roasted Sweet Potato, Pear and Onion

The perfect dish for a cold day, just begin by roasting sweet potato, pear, and onion in the oven. Add olive oil to help them cook and to make the outsides crispy. Once it’s ready, season it with thyme and serve with unsweetened yogurt.

Baked Pear

Cut pears in half and place them on a baking tray. Sprinkle the pears with sugar and cinnamon and place a butter cube on each one. Pour white wine into the baking tray, add currents to the pears, and bake for 40-50 minutes or until tender.
