We don’t know about you, but when we plan our vacations—we often find ourselves planning them around food. When traveling, food isn’t just about sustenance. It’s an experience that includes culture, authenticity, and interaction with locals. At its core, it’s a simple pleasure, but one that is often memorable.

London-based food and travel blogger Kavita Favelle knows best. Together with her husband Pete, over the last 25 years Favelle has been traveling both locally and internationally, sharing her memorable food experiences with a growing number of readers. Her online platform, Kavey Eats, is a curated collection of reviews, recipes, and travel blogging.

“I’ve been traveling for almost half a century,” Favelle shared in an interview with Travel Awaits. “My first trip was when I was just a few months old, and I grew up in a travel-loving family. Learning to love travel was as much a part of how my parents raised me as much as learning to walk, read and write!”

“We love independent travel focused on culture and food,” she added. “That’s echoed in my blog content, where I publish detail-rich articles with a strong focus on seeking out the best life experiences. I love to write about culture, cuisine and history as well as what to see, what to do, and where to stay.”

With most of us housebound these days, recent posts include recipes for favorite dishes, as well as reviews of more local eateries.
