Once opened, it is extremely hard for us to resist eating an entire packet of potato chips on our own. No matter which flavor you reach for, chips are a perfect snack at any time of day (or middle of the night). But before you finish that bag, you might want to use some of those chips to upgrade your next dish.

Crisp Coating

Breadcrumbs are traditionally what is used when coating everything from chicken fillets to onion rings, but chips work just as well, if not better. Crush up the chips and use them to coat chicken, fish, or tofu. The flavor of chips you use will also give it some extra flavor.

Balancing Textures

Chips in crushed form are the ideal topping for soups and salads as they add an element of crunch. And the best part is, you are not limited! Go for nacho-style chips, regular, or whatever you like. The texture of the crushed chips works particularly well with creamy soups.

Top it Off

Thought mac and cheese couldn’t get any better? Just wait. Before popping your pasta dish in the oven, top off your noodles with a sprinkling of chips. The contrast between the creamy macaroni and the crunchy chips will have you going back for a second helping.
