Five Creative Things to do With an Avocado

The avocado trend is staying strong. Every trendy cafe will have some version of avocado toast as an option and guacamole is still everyone’s favourite dip. Here are five creative things you can do with the fruit if you are a true avocado lover.

Avocado Cups

Cut your avocado in half then toss the pit and scoop out the flesh. Dice the flesh and mix it with some olive oil, vinegar, and fresh herbs of your choice. If you’re feeling decadent, you can even add a bit of mozzarella or spice. When you’ve mixed it up, spoon it back into the skin for a tasty snack.

Soup

Blend two or three avcocados with some garlic and coconut milk. Add some salt, pepper, cilantro, and coconut oil then chill in the fridge. Serve within a few hours for a summery soup.

Make it into a Smoothie

An avocado smoothie is a great way to start your day. Put avocado, kale, banana, honey, and milk into a blender then serve up for a delicious and nutritious breakfast.

Grill it

Quarter your avocado but leave on the skin. Season with a bit of salt and pepper then grill the fruit on all sides. Sprinkle some spice and add a little oil and your avocado is now too good for your toast.

Avocado Jelly

You can find avocado jelly recipes quite easily online. In general, you’ll need a few avocados with 100ml of fresh milk, 3 tbsp of condensed milk, 15g jelly powder, 600 ml of cold water, and sugar to your taste. It’s certainly a strange recipe but it’s also absolutely fabulous.
