According to Today, Finnish food blogger Jenni Häyrinen was the one who came up with this dish in 2019. Known by the name “uunifetapasta”, this dish became such a huge hit in her home country that the stores started running out of feta cheese, and her hit recipe is now finding the same kind of fame around the world.
MacKenzie Smith, who runs the popular TikTok channel Grilled Cheese Social, has been credited for starting this trend back in late January. It didn’t take long for other TikTok users to take notice, and baked feta pasta recipes are now popping all over this social media platform.
You can easily make your own by putting cherry tomatoes in a pan, before placing a block of feta in the center. After adding olive oil and spices of your choice, you can bake them in the oven and mix them together with pasta afterward.
