These delicious vegan burger recipes will tempt even the biggest meat-lovers. They are quick and easy to make and can easily be tweaked to suit individual taste.

Falafel Burger

You can make a delicious falafel burger out of chick peas. Drain the chickpeas thoroughly and pulse in the food processor until lightly broken up – don’t turn them into paste. To flavor, add garlic, onion, corriander and chili powder to taste. Mould the breadcrumb texture mixture into patties and fry for 5 minutes until they are golden and crisp. Serve with hummus or tahini.

Chickpea Burger

Alternatively, you can crush chickpeas in a bowl with a potato masher to create a thick paste. Add paprika, sweetcorn and seasoning then BBQ on each side until crisp.

Tofu Burger

For a meatier burger, mix together a block of tofu with fried mushrooms, onions, paprika – anything you think will add to the taste of your burger. Season to taste then mold into patties and fry in a pan until they are golden brown.
