We absolutely adore Greek vinaigrette. One of our favorite salad dressings, this light, citrusy mixture is an ideal choice for greens-heavy salads or ones that feature tomato heavily thanks to its complementary flavors. While there are certainly good store-bought Greek vinaigrettes out there, our favorite version is the one we make at home. Here’s how to whip it together yourself!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup red wine vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano

Instructions

Begin by taking a large Mason jar or a large container with a lid and put it on your workspace. This will be the recipient for your dressing.

Next, juice your lemon and add the juice to the jar or container. Next, go ahead and add the rest of the ingredients, being sure not to skip anything. Opt for dried oregano but real, minced garlic as these are the two flavors which work best.

Final Step

Finally, add the lid to the Mason jar or to the container which you have used. Shake thoroughly for 30 seconds to 1 minute to mix and combine all of the ingredients.

Once the dressing has been made and the ingredients mixed, store chilled for up to a week and enjoy!
