If you are one of the lucky people who get to spend their summer at the beach, you will probably be surrounded by some super fresh seafood. Although it can seem daunting to cook seafood at home, most of the time it is really simple. Check out these recipes before summer ends!
Scallops
For scallops, all you have to do is sear them on one side for a few minutes until they naturally release from the pan. Then, flip them over for just a few more minutes and they’re done! They should be beautifully caramel on each and served right away.
Shrimp
Cooking shrimp takes even less time than scallops. If you decide to use fresh raw shrimp, make sure you devein them, which means taking out the black gunk that runs along their back. Then, sautee them for 4-5 minutes until they turn pink, or boil them for 1-3 minutes.
Clams
With clams, you have to make sure they are cleaned really well, so they don’t have any sand. Then, sautee some garlic and add white wine. Cook until the wine is reduced by half. Then, add the clams and steam until most of them are opened. Add butter and continue to cook them almost all are opened. The ones that never opened should not be eaten.
