You Have to Try These Mouth-Watering Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms

Cheese stuffed mushrooms are one of those delicious dishes everyone should master, but it takes time to figure out the perfect recipe.

If you’re still on a quest to find yours, food blogger Sommer Collier came up with one that might be the perfect fit. The Cheese stuffed mushrooms recipe on her blog A Spicy Perspective includes three different types of cheese and roasted red peppers that add a pop of zest and color to this tasty dish.

Ingredients

  • 30 medium raw button mushrooms
  • 8 ounces of softened cream cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded smoked cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup roasted red pepper, drained and diced
  • 2 tablespoons onion, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • While waiting for the oven to preheat (to 350 degrees F), remove the stems of the mushrooms, use a paper towel to get rid of the dirt, and rinse them in water.
  • Mix the rest of the main ingredients – the cream cheese, smoked cheddar cheese, diced red pepper, onion, and garlic – in a medium bowl. Add 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper to the mixture and stir it all together.
  • Fill the mushrooms with the cheese mixture using a spoon, and create a crust by topping each one with grated parmesan cheese.
  • Place the mushrooms inside a 9×13-inch baking dish, with the cheese-side-up.
  • Bake until the tops are golden, for approximately 30-35 minutes, and serve while warm.
