You Can Now Get Your Dog a Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Treat

The selection of Ben & Jerry’s ice creams is huge, and it just got even bigger with their latest dog treat additions. The company recently introduced ice cream for dogs, inspired by their love for our furry pets. For a long time, the company’s employees have been allowed and encouraged to bring their dogs to work with them, and they even have a special name for the furry branch—K9-5ers. Two of the dogs, who regularly spend their days at work, became an inspiration for the new ice cream flavors.

Rosie’s Batch (pumpkin pureée and mini cookies flavor) got its name from a fun rescue named Rosie, and Pontch’s Mix (peanut butter and pretzels flavor) was inspired by French bulldog Pontch.

“We know our fans love their dogs and treat them like family. We created this product line so pups can enjoy something even better than belly rubs. Doggie Desserts are the sweetest treat they’ll ever put their paws on,” we read in the press release. Ben & Jerry’s marketing specialist who wrote it is also a veterinary technician and one of the employees who bring their dogs to work daily.

You can see the dogs in the office setting on the company’s website.
