Chicken fingers are the perfect snack, and it’s hard to find someone who doesn’t enjoy them. They can be great when alone, paired with some sauce, or added to a food platter or snack board. Making chicken fingers isn’t exactly rocket science, and any way you make them will probably result in good food. But in case you want them perfect each time, here’s how to do it.
Ingredients
- 3 chicken breast halves
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- 1/3 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/3 teaspoon red onion powder
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400 F.
2. Cut the breast halves into strips of desired length and thickness. Rub them with salt and pepper on all sides.
3. Take a plastic bag and put flour, paprika, Cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and red onion powder inside. Add strips of chicken and shake until they’re covered in flour and spices.
4. Whisk three eggs in one bowl and mix bread crumbs and parmesan cheese in the second bowl. Take each strip, sink it in the egg bowl, and then in the bowl with bread crumbs-parmesan mix.
5. Brush a pan with oil or spray it with cooking spray, and line the chicken strips. Pop the pan in the oven and bake it anywhere between 30 to 40 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chicken fingers.
6. Don’t forget to flip the strips midway through baking.
7. Get some barbecue sauce to dip the chicken fingers and enjoy.
