Would You Switch to Seedless Lemons?

While there are bigger problems in the world, seeds in our fruit are one of the most annoying things we face on a daily basis. You probably get frustrated when you’re trying to make lemonade only to end up with seeds in your glass. Seedless lemons can change that.

The Wonderful Company will be introducing Seedless Lemons this November at grocery chains across the U.S. The company describes it as a “naturally seedless, Non-GMO Project verified variety of lemon” that’s “juicy and zesty—everything consumers love about lemons minus the inconvenient seeds.”

Etienne Rabe from Wonderful told the Times that the company’s prediction is that their seedless lemons will make up 10 percent of the lemon market. They also believe that, over time, seedless lemons could completely replace lemons with seeds.

For now, Wonderful Seedless Lemons will be available in stores during the California growing season, from November to May. In 2021, we can expect them to become available all year round.
