Millions of people around the world love Mtn Dew, but the question is—how much?
The carbonated drink is basing its newest marketing campaign on that very question as it is asking its fan whether they would marry a can of Hard Mountain Dew. Yes, you heard correctly.
We’ve heard of more than one person walking down the aisle in Las Vegas because of alcohol, but never in this regard… The proposal is open to both bachelors and bachelorettes as long as they are above the age of 21 and can be in Vegas for the October ceremony.
“Fans have gone wild for Hard Mtn Dew since hitting shelves, so our recent expansion to Las Vegas felt like the perfect opportunity to return the love by proposing to our fans,” stated Erica Taylor, Hard Mtn Dew’s senior brand director. “We’ve already seen the crazy lengths people will go for Hard Mtn Dew, so offering up a legendary wedding in Sin City is our way of saying thanks!”
If marrying a can of boozy soda is on your bucket list (hey, you do you), you can apply online by answering a series of questions. These include: “How did you know Hard Mtn Dew was the one for you?” “What makes you our one true love?” and, “Write us your proposal to ask for our hand in marriage.”
Applicants will be required to answer in less than 2,000 characters and include a photo of themselves that would capture “how you’d feel if you found out you were engaged to Hard Mtn Dew”.
Not only will the winner of the “Hard Dew, I Do” challenge get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to marry a beverage, they will also receive paid-for flights and accommodation for two people, a reception at one of Vegas’s swankiest nightclubs, $1,000, and free Hard Mountain Dew!
