But there are countless instances we’ve found where we’re out at a restaurant with some friends, and someone will talk about how much they love the items that are on the kids menu. If only they served adult-sized portions of the kids menu items, right? Indeed, it doesn’t matter how old one gets—certain items that are on the kids menu will always be delicious and here’s why.

One of the main reasons that kids menu items will always be delicious to most adults is the nostalgia factor. There’s something refreshing and warm about eating the very foods you used to eat when you were a kid. It brings back memories of a simpler time, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
The Practicality
The thing about kids menu items is that they’re practical and simple. Whether it’s the finger-food-like simplicity of chicken nuggets, or the quaint crunch of a grilled cheese sandwich, kids menu items just “make sense”. With all of the bells and whistles of the “adult menu items”, adults actually sometimes just want something easier to consume.
