The latest announcement from Velveeta is pretty cheesy (ahem), but we kinda love it! If you’ve ever taken a look at the bright, sunshiny yellow cheese sauce and thought how you’d love to have that color on your nails, you’re in luck. Velveeta-inspired nail polishes are now a real thing.
The company has teamed up with a beauty brand called Nails.INC. to create a limited-edition collection entitled “Velveeta Pinkies Out”.
“Velveeta is known for its rich, creamy texture and cheesy, melty goodness, so what better way to bring this to life for our fans than with something equally as rich and creamy — nail polish,” stated Kelsey Rice who is a senior brand communications manager at the Kraft Heinz Company which owns the cheese. “Our Velveeta Pinkies Out Polish gives pleasure seekers everywhere an irresistible new way to show the world that they are living ‘La Dolce Velveeta’ by living pinkies out.“
Those who wish to do just that have two vibrant shades to choose from. “La Dolce Velveeta” is the same deep yellow that so deliciously coats your pasta shells, while “Finger Food” is a bright red that will have you wanting to lick your fingertips.
In fact, that’s exactly what you might want to do considering the polish also smells like cheese! But in the words of Nails.INC., “Please don’t eat it — that’s what cheesy, melty Velveeta is for.”
