Ingredients (to make 12 bars):
- 1 cup of oats
- 1/2 cup of plain flour
- 1/2 cup of sunflower oil
- 2 tablespoons of tahini
- 2 tablespoons of dark chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon of date syrup
- 1/3 cup of warm water
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, mix the warm water, chia seeds, and tahini together to form a thick paste.
- In another large bowl, sift the flour and oats together.
- Stir the chocolate chips through the flour mix.
- Stir the date syrup into the tahini mix.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures, adding a little more water to loosen if needed.
- Stir in the sunflower oil, until you have a thick, wet batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased and lined cake tin, 10 inches x 10 inches.
- Bake in the oven for half an hour, until set.
