Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon + 1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 6 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Rosemary
  • 1 medium-sized apple
  • 1/2 cup white cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 Cup + 4 Tablespoons Heavy Cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees (F).
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Use a pastry cutter to mix in the butter, then stir in the rosemary, add chopped apple, grated cheese, crumbled bacon and 1 cup + 3 tablespoons of the cream, and stir until just combined.
  4. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead, then fold and repeat a couple of times.
  5. Pat the dough into a 1″ thick round, cut out the biscuits, and place them on the baking sheet.
  6. Brush each biscuit with remaining cream, and bake for 18-20 minutes.
