Many people can’t imagine frying their food without oil, while others swear by butter. If you’ve already perfected the oil method and want to give butter a try, here are a couple of useful tips you can use for help.

Smaller Portions

Don’t go overboard when frying food with butter because it’s usually unnecessary. Unless the recipe calls for it, coating the bottom with butter is all you need to do and it’s usually not required to add more of it.

Low Heat

If you’re using butter to fry your food, avoid turning the heat up unless you want to experience a kitchen nightmare. The tricky thing about butter is that it can quickly burn down, and that’s why you should pre-heat your pan on medium-low heat and keep the heat low later on.

Mix Things Up

Unless you’re trying to avoid using oil altogether, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be frying your foods with both. If you want your dish to have that irresistible buttery flavor, but the recipe calls for high heat cooking, you can use oil to stop the food from burning down.
