Treat Yourself With This Delicious Milk Sponge Cake

This simple cake requires some basic ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen and bakes really fast. But the best thing is that you’ll get a fluffy and tasty dessert that goes perfectly with a cup of tea or coffee. Here is how to make it.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Combine eggs and sugar into a bowl. Mix using an electric mixer until foamy.
  2. Add two teaspoons of vanilla extract and mix for another 10 seconds.
  3. Gradually add flour and baking powder while continuing to mix.
  4. Heat the milk on a stove. You can use a saucepan or pot. When milk gets warm, cut the butter into cubes and add it to the milk. Continue heating until the butter gets melted.
  5. Combine the milk and melted butter with other ingredients. Mix until you get a pancake batter consistency.
  6. Spray the cake pan with cooking oil. Pour the cake batter in and bake in a preheated oven at 350 F for half an hour.
  7. Take it out and let it cool. Cut to cubes and dig in!
