If you can’t imagine a single morning without eating a piece of toast, you’ll need a kitchen tool to help you prepare it to perfection. Toasters and toaster ovens are two of the most popular options on the market, but is there a difference between them and which one is better?

Classic Toaster

A classic toaster doesn’t need a special introduction because it’s one of the most popular kitchen tools out there. It can make between two and four pieces of toast, depending on the model, and it’s pretty quick, lightweight, and it doesn’t take up a lot of space.

Its main downside is the lack of versatility because the list of things you can toast inside it is pretty limited. It also doesn’t help that the temperature isn’t extremely precise, so you may end up with burnt toast pretty often.

Toaster Oven

A toaster oven takes up much more space than a regular toaster, but if you have enough room in your kitchen, it may be worth a shot. Your toast will turn out great because temperatures are much more precise, but you’ll have to wait for the oven to heat up.

Another great thing about the toaster oven is its incredible versatility. In addition to toasting, it includes many more options, such as broiling and defrosting. It also doesn’t hurt its case that you can use it for many different types of food, not just toast.
