Tips For Staying Healthy and Safe While Dining Out

As countries and societies begin to move towards the “new normal” which will allow us to continue living our lives but with newfound caution thanks to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, one place that we will be allowed to visit one again are restaurants.

If going to restaurants, however, there are some things that you should do in order to ensure your safety as well as the safety of others. Here are some steps that you should take towards eating out and staying healthy and safe.

Wash Your Hands as Much as Possible

It almost goes without saying, but you should definitely continue to wash your hands as much as possible while eating out. Experts recommend washing your hands when arriving at a restaurant, before eating, and after your meal in order to avoid potential virus transmissions.

Stay at Least 6 Feet Away from Other Diners

While you will probably be eating out with people with which you live, it’s important to stay far away from other diners. The recommended distance, according to the United States’ Centers for Disease Control, is 6 feet, so be sure to keep your distance.

Pay With Your Credit Card

Paper bills and metallic coins have been identified as a potential transmission source for the coronavirus, which means that the safest thing that you can do is to just pay with your credit card. This will take away an unnecessary risk.
