Chicken breasts are at their best when they’re tender and juicy, but making them like that is often a challenging task. Turn your back on them for a second, and they’ll turn out dry. If you’re tired of having dry chicken breasts, then follow the instructions below to make them tender and juicy each time.

Defrost Chicken at Room Temperature

Frozen chicken is best defrosted at room temperature. Defrosting it in the microwave will damage the meat, and you might not end up with the result you want.

Be Generous with the Seasoning

It’s also important to season the chicken breasts well. Coat them with some olive oil so that the seasoning sticks, and then rub thoroughly with generous amounts of herb spice mix, garlic powder, salt, pepper, or some other seasoning you prefer. Let them sit for a while before you start to cook.

Use High and Low-Temperature Cooking

The cooking process is, of course, the most important part. To nail it, you will need to cook chicken breasts at high temperatures in an uncovered pan for one minute. At this point, you should flip them, put the stove at low temperature, cover the pan with the lid and cook the chicken breasts for additional 10 minutes.

Let it Rest

After 10 minutes, turn off the stove and leave the chicken in a covered pan for another 10 minutes. This will allow the chicken breasts to maintain their moisture and be cooked to perfection.

No Peeking

While you might be tempted to peek under the lid several times during cooking, don’t. Removing the lid will allow the heat and moisture to bail, and you won’t get the result you want.
